Hello everyone!
I would like to talk about "Midjourney", which generates AI illustrations, which is a hot topic these days.
What I'm going to talk about is more for intermediate players who are familiar with Midjourney to some extent, rather than for absolute beginners.
I'm going to show you how to use Midjourney to get quality, royalty-free illustrations for your blog, website, or even a business presentation.
It's easy as 1-2-3!

How to join Midjourney
Midjourney can participate in the chat app Discord.
Even if you participate for the first time, you can automatically generate illustrations up to 25 times.
So, I have the impression that the number of participants in Midjourney is steadily increasing.
Before Midjourney, I didn't use Discord much, but after joining this community, I use it more.
Simple usage of Midjourney
First, go to the "newbies" group and type "/imagine".
After that, when you enter your own illustration idea, AI will automatically create an image for you.
It's easy, right?
However, even if you create an image, it will not be easy to create the illustration you want at first.
So, you can easily modify the illustration with the 8 buttons U1 to U4 and V1 to V4 that appear after creating the illustration.
As for the meaning of each button, the numbers 1 to 4 mean the placement, 1 means top left, 2 means top right, 3 means bottom left, and 4 means bottom right.
- U1~U4: Generate in high resolution
- V1-V4: Generate 4 similar images
- Refresh button (upper right): generate 4 new images
As long as you know these methods, you can create your own illustrations!
How to get high-quality illustrations
Now, let's get to the point.
When generating illustrations with Midjourney, it's often the case that most of the illustrations aren't as great as you'd hoped.
For example, there is less real than I thought.
Poor eye and body balance.
Hands and arms protrude in strange directions.
I often see such illustrations.
So how can you get high-quality illustrations for free on Midjourney?
It is to find or refer to illustrations of other heavy users.
Use the search box
There is a search box in the top right of Midjourney.
If you enter the keyword of the illustration you want, illustrations that other people have already created will appear.
And if the image of the illustration matches what you're looking for, click the image and click Open original below.
Then save the original image that came out and you're done.
How to fix illustration
Next, I will teach you how to improve the work created by other users.
In that case, first, click on the user's post itself.
Then, the post of the created illustration will be displayed on the main screen.
Anyway, let's fix it yourself with the eight buttons U1 to U4 and V1 to V4 in the illustration.
Find a community
In addition, users introduce high-quality illustrations on Midjourney's home screen and other communities other than newbies.
For example, home, favorites, test-showcase, etc.
Maybe the group name has changed or you see a different group name in your account.
Midjourney has a large number of users, so they divide groups by account.
So it might be better for you to judge the quality of the content of the community yourself.
In conclusion
It's been nearly two months since I started using Midjourney, and I feel that the quality of the AI illustrations has improved dramatically in just two months.
However, I also feel that the quality of the illustration depends on the number of keywords.
The higher the number of keywords, the higher the quality of the illustration.
I also saw that if a previous user created a high-quality illustration with a certain keyword, that keyword would create a similar illustration.
I think Midjourney is probably still in the process of using this system through trial and error, so I'd love to hear from you if you come across anything!
By the way, Animenbo also shares high-quality anime illustrations created with Midjourney on Pinterest!
